WOMEN: What do you want for yourself in 2012? How about finding a great partner if you are single, or improving your relationship or marriage, if you are partnered, more happiness, joy and love?
Consider working on your emotional resilience – the ability to weather life and your emotional reactions to it without being knocked off center. One way to begin to build emotional resilience is to use phrases such as “All is well” or “Everything is a Gift” to sooth yourself.
Can you think of other ways you can build emotional resilience? Give me a thoughtful answer and I may choose you for a complimentary session to help you come up with more ways and show you how to make them a part of your life!

My goal for 2012 is to be less reactive. When I find myself overreacting it’s often because I’m reacting to what I think about that thing and not the situation itself. For example, when something goes wrong I bring my own beliefs about myself to it, for example that I’m not good enough, and that’s why it is happening. Instead my hope is to try and look objectively at what’s happening and not let my judgements about my past history, or what I think about myself, or the people involved color my reaction. I think that will help me build resilience.
